SINGER - SONGWRITER
Soul music is Ms Adesioye’s first love.
Her influences stretch from pioneers and legends of soul music such as Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway and Marvin Gaye, to contemporary greats such as India Arie, Angie Stone and Lauryn Hill. She also relaxes to jazz from the likes of Miles Davis and classical music by Stravinsky, Ravel and Debussy. London-born but of Nigerian descent, Lola also brings her own unique flavour to her music using the influence of her cultural roots.
Lola aims to “put the music back into music”, writing songs with meaning, lyrics with depth, and melodies that take you on a journey. She is currently working on new material. Her debut album will be released in 2008. All material will be released and published through her independent record company Something 2 Say Music.
