Who is Lola Adesioye? (The Official Version)

Lola Adesioye is a writer, speaker and self-confessed socio-political provocateur. She provides insightful, challenging, thought-provoking and well informed analysis and thought leadership on social, political and personal topics from a global, Generation Y perspective.

She brings a fresh and unique international viewpoint to her work: she was born and raised in London, is of Nigerian heritage, has lived in South Africa, now lives in New York and is an avid traveller.

A Masters degree in Social & Political Science from Cambridge University also informs her work.

Who am I? (The Unofficial Version)

I am deeply passionate about life. All of it. I’m fascinated by human potential and the power of our minds to create and shape reality. I believe that until we change internally, harnessing the infinite creative ability and inherent power that we are all born with, our external worlds will not shift. Personal transformation leads to planetary transformation. New thinking creates new futures.

My generation (and those following) faces a unique and unprecedented world. We face a new economy which has led us to reexamine notions of work, career, purpose and passion. We face environmental challenges which have led us to look into the nature of consumption and how we treat the earth. The old media has crumbled; the internet and social media have provided us with tools and powers of engagement in social and political arenas that we never previously had. Facebook has made us realize just how interlinked and interdependent we all are. This is a a new world.

This site is for people who are socially, politically and personally conscious (or who want to be); for those who realize that they need to BE the change they need to see, and that transformation is an inside job. This site is for new thinking. Because as Einstein said “we cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them”
